hello. we have just submitted the first draft of "URI Fragment Identifiers for the text/csv Media Type" as an internet draft, it can be found at http://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-hausenblas-csv-fragment/ and at all the usual places. the abstract reads as follows: "This memo defines URI fragment identifiers for text/csv MIME entities. These fragment identifiers make it possible to refer to parts of a text/csv MIME entity, identified by cell, row, column, or slice." any comments about this draft are very welcome. our goal is to improve the web of data by adding fragment identification capabilities to the popular CSV format, so that references to URI-identified CSV resources can point *into* the resource (by cell, row, column, or slice) instead of just pointing *to* he resource. in addition, we have set up http://www.csvdata.info/ as a place to collect resources and pointers about this initiative. please feel free to suggest additions that you think might make this web site more helpful and relevant for CSV in general, and for CSV fragment identification in general. thanks a lot and kind regards, michael hausenblas and erik wilde. -- erik wilde | mailto:dret@berkeley.edu - tel:+1-510-6432253 | | UC Berkeley - School of Information (ISchool) | | http://dret.net/netdret http://twitter.com/dret |
