hello dave. the tag scheme is quite a bit more opaque than i would like my scheme to be. i want the scheme to represent locations (so it must have this semantics), i want to have some well-defined location semantics (gps coordinates), but i also want to allow place names, which are defined according to some vocabulary. if clients know the vocabulary, then they can understand the place name, if they don't, they are in the same situation as when encountering an unknown xml namespace: hopefully there is some useful documentation and the namespace's uri, but there does not have to be. and there is not standardized format for such a vocabulary (we are working on one, but that's a completely different story). thanks and cheers, dret.
