URI is dead... long live UR?

At the URI NG BOF, we discussed the possible formation of new working
groups; the slides I just sent out were part of that discussion.

The formal action I want to report on here is that the URI WG is now
closed. We have completed nearly all of the tasks on our original list
of milestones, and the new tasks we're considering are large enough
and diverse enough to warrant separate, focused efforts; focusing the
effort will also allow individuals who want to work on very specific
aspects to join in on those sub-tasks without having to deal with all
of the other issues we're considering.

The mailing list will remain as a forum for discussion of general URI
related issues as well as the new organizational structures. Hopefully
those who are volunteering to organize and chair the new working
groups will set up mailing lists for them separately.

I'll take this occasion for thanking you all in participating in the
URI working group, and hope that those who are in the process of
creating the various WG documents will continue to do so in the
context of the new organizational structure.
