Actually, they don't belong at all really, they're lexical tokens, whose sole purpose is to hide internal newlines, and should be able to appear anywhere at all in any RR, eg: foo IN ( A 1.2.3.4 ) should be a perfectly valid master file record. That BIND has never taken any notice of the spec in this area has always bothered me. kre
