Peter Deutsch,

Linda West attended the "Organizing the Global Digital Library
Conference" with you at LC and asked me to follow up on the URI
projects that were mentioned.

I am somewhat aware of what CNRI and LC are up to, but wondered if
there was something going on at Bunyip or if the IETF pundits have
regrouped and are ready to tackle the subject again.

RLG will certainly want to be informed of, if not involved in, any
progress made in this area. We have plans to -- out of necessity --
proceed with a home-grown approach, but want to adapt to the
mainstream when there is such a thing.

Any pointers or information you can provide will be appreciated.

Thanks,
Ricky Erway
