Dear all, We have a PhD (or postdoc) position open at the Department of Computer Science of KU Leuven on Knowledge Graphs for Cultural Heritage in the frame of the REEvaluate Horizon Europe - RIA project. The person who will fill in the position will work on reviewing the state of the art with respect to ontologies and semantic web for cultural heritage and contribute to a framework that will provide a semantic representation of the artefact’s metadata to improve its accessibility and discoverability, and enable automated discovery of digitised object misuses.. The REEVALUATE project will employ AI techniques throughout the framework to assist the manual contextualisation, improve prioritisation through public sensing, propose collaborations and cases for reuse, and validate the context of the reused artefacts. The framework also deals with the secure storage of the digitised artefacts and frames the intellectual property rights through cultural heritage object tokenization and the introduction of smart contracts for reuse. 16 partners will be involved in the project from 7 countries and the results will be applied to real use cases in the gaming, fashion, advertising and tourism sectors. If you want more information about the position, you can have a look at the vacancy here: https://www.kuleuven.be/personeel/jobsite/jobs/60288107 <https://www.kuleuven.be/personeel/jobsite/jobs/60288107?lang=en>, or contact me (Anastasia Dimou, anastasia.dimou@kuleuven.be).
