Fully funded PhD position in Knowledge Representation Methods for Security and Threat Intelligence at VU Amsterdam

Dear colleagues,

Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam offers three fully funded PhD position in a
multi-disciplinary research project on 'Hybrid Explainable Workflows for
Security and Threat Intelligence'. One of those positions is in the
field of Knowledge Representation and Reasoning. The research challenges
include (graph-based) modelling of the uncertainty and provenance of
decision processes in security and threat intelligence, allowing
non-standard (such as what-if or abductive) reasoning to increase
proportionality and transparency. More details can be found here:

https://werkenbij.vu.nl/ad/phd-position-on-security-and-intelligence/5vynil

The position will be in the KAI group, rooted in the internationally
renowned Knowledge Representation and Reasoning research group of the VU
Amsterdam, where we research the representation, acquisition,
extraction and management of explicitly modelled, mostly symbolic,
knowledge and the usage of such knowledge in artificial intelligent
agents.

The application deadline is 15/11/2022.

Best regards

Stefan
