[call-for-participation] LiLAS-2021: Ad-hoc search results ranking (task 1) and dataset recommendations (task 2) in academic systems

Dear all,

Apologies for cross-posting.
For those of you interested in Information Retrieval and/or Recommender
Systems, this might be of your interest.

*LiLAS-2021 <http://clef-lilas.github.io>: Ad-hoc search results ranking
(task 1) and dataset recommendations (task 2) in academic systems Call for
Participation------------------------------------- LiLAS Lab, one of CLEF
2021 labs, is proposing two tasks “Ad-hoc search results ranking (task 1)
and dataset recommendations (task 2) in academic systems”. If you are
interested in indexing or recommendation systems, this is a challenge you
will enjoy participating in. Solutions will be evaluated off line (type A
pre-computed solutions) or will be integrated into production systems and
“live” evaluated based on real-time user interaction, a “living lab” for
you to test your solution! More information at clef-lilas.github.io
<http://clef-lilas.github.io> [1] Task 1: Ad-hoc retrieval of scientific
documents for the multi-lingual and multi-source Life Science search portal
LIVIVO.Task 2: Research dataset recommendation within the Social Science
portal GESIS Search: Given a scientific publication find relevant research
data sets (out of a list of candidates). These two tasks will provide the
Information Retrieval and NLP community with two interesting challenges:
(i) multilingual ranking and (ii) dataset recommendation, and a dashboard
for you to monitor your solution! All part of the STELLA evaluation
infrastructure project <https://stella-project.org/> [2]. Hurry up,
participate solo or as part of your team, download our datasets, follow our
tutorials <https://github.com/stella-project/stella-micro-template>, code
your solution, enjoy the challenge, and submit it by the end of February
2021! All participants will then be encouraged to submit a paper to the
LiLAS-2021 <https://clef-lilas.github.io/> [1] workshop, part of the CLEF
2021 <http://clef2021.clef-initiative.eu/> [3] initiative! Registration to
