Fwd: Questionnaire: Semantic Web Perspectives (Your opinion is welcome!)

Hi all,

A quick final reminder that tomorrow I plan to close the questionnaire
discussed in the email below. There's still time for more responses if
anyone would still like to have their opinion reflected:

 https://forms.gle/6T855rc2ED9GmmCH9

Thus far, we've collected 62 responses; many thanks to all who
participated thus far!

(Again, to avoid influencing the results, I would ask not to discuss the
questionnaire on the list for now, but I will soon prepare a summary of
the results for discussion.)

Best/thanks,
Aidan

Hi all,

Towards understanding the varying perspectives that exist within the
community regarding the present and future of Semantic Web development
and adoption, I have prepared a small questionnaire and would be keen to
have your opinion reflected in the results!

After a few preliminary questions, the core of the questionnaire
presents ten possible criticisms of the Semantic Web (paraphrased from
various sources) and asks your opinion regarding whether or not you
agree, to what extent your think the issue raised is a problem going
forward, and (in some cases) which standards you think are particularly
problematic (if any) regarding the highlighted issue.

Note that I personally do not necessarily agree (nor disagree) with the
issues raised.

The questionnaire can be taken here:

 https://forms.gle/6T855rc2ED9GmmCH9

It should take no more than a few minutes and does not request any
personal information. I will leave it open for 10 days (until May 22nd).
As a special request, to avoid influencing later responses, I would ask
you to not discuss the questionnaire or any issues raised on this list
until after this deadline (at which point I will post results and then,
of course, discussion will be more than welcome).

Feel free to share the questionnaire link with others you think might be
interested in responding!

Best,
Aidan
