2nd International Workshop on Mobile Deployment of Semantic Technologies (MoDeST 2016) At the 15th International Semantic Web Conference (ISWC 2016) October 17/18, 2016, Kobe, Japan For complete details on the call, please visit our website http://modest.mobi <http://modest.mobi/> The MoDeST workshop aims to bring together researchers, developers, and practitioners with interest in studying and deploying semantic technologies on mobile devices. MoDeST represents an ideal venue to publish high-quality, albeit work-in-progress, research as well as useful mobile semantic applications. It provides a unique forum for researchers and developers from both the Semantic Web and mobile computing communities to discuss approaches, techniques, and concrete implementations for the efficient utilization of mobile semantic technologies. To this end, we encourage submissions related, but not limited, to the following topics: Semantic data management on mobile platforms Mobile semantic query optimization Mobile Semantic Web reasoning Mobile Linked Data applications Tools for developing mobile semantic applications Mobile semantic applications in domains such as context-awareness, recommender systems, and mHealth Evaluation of semantic technologies on mobile platforms Limitations of and challenges for the mobile Semantic Web Benchmarking tools and services for semantic mobile applications We invite submissions of original, unpublished work not currently under review elsewhere. Papers will be evaluated according to their significance, originality, technical quality, clarity, style and relevance to the workshop. At least one author of each accepted paper is expected to attend the workshop. We welcome full research papers of up to 12 pages and short papers presenting ongoing research or mobile semantic or linked data systems up to 6 pages. Important Dates: Submission deadline: July 7th, 2016 Notifications: July 31st, 2016 Camera-ready version: August 16th, 2016 We look forward to seeing you in Kobe, The MoDeST 2016 Organizers
