The Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) is the lead agency for fostering world-class scientific research and talent for a vibrant knowledge-based and innovation-driven Singapore. A*STAR oversees 14 research institutes on sciences and engineering among which Institute for Infocomm Research is one of the biggest RI that focusses on ICT research.

The Data Analytics Department at the Institute for Infocomm Research is a leading R&D division that actively publishes in top-tier conferences, holds a number of patented technologies and has a rich portfolio of industry-funded research projects. It is seeking outstanding candidates for an entry-level research scientist position. The position will be hosted in Fusionopolis, an R&D complex located at the One-North business park in Singapore, that houses  many international research organizations, high-tech companies, government agencies, retail outlets, and serviced apartments in one location.

The successful candidate will be expected to perform applied research on topics related to Semantic Web Technologies, Ontology-driven Data/Text/Web Analytics, Linked Data, etc. and work with top international R&D organizations,universities and industry partners.  Sometimes they will co-lead a team of PostDocs and Engineers.

Requirements:
1. PhD in computer science or related disciplines.
2. Good publication record in areas related to Semantic technologies, Ontologies and data/text/web analytics
3. Strong communication skills, and scientific writing skills.

Salary will be internationally competitive.
