Your background will make it easy for you to understand how
http://www.cubicweb.org/ works. It is used for large applications, eg
example http://data.bnf.fr or a alternate browsing interface to
dbpedia (no public access yet, but code available from
http://hg.logilab.org/cubes/cubipedia).
