The BIS Conference is held annually and is a leading world conference in the area of Business Information Systems. Submissions are rigorously refereed. Accepted papers are published in the Springer's Lecture Notes in Business Information Processing Series. After a long hiatus, the domain of Law and Information Technology is finally receiving much attention, not only from researchers, but also from practitioners. Hence there is a need for forums that discuss new research and innovative applications in Law and Information Technology. The workshop is receptive to all papers dealing with any topic in the interdisciplinary domain of Law and Information Technology. Submission system is available at http://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=lit2009. Papers approved for presentation at LIT 2009 will be published in BIS 2009 workshop proceedings, as a volume in Springer's Lecture Notes in Business Information Processing (LNBIP) series. WORKSHOP FORMAT All authors of accepted papers as well as other participants will be asked to read accepted papers abstracts before the workshop (papers will be available on-line in advance) to facilitate discussion. Workshop participants will be also invited to take part in the BIS conference and other BIS workshops.
