I do like your blog post, and yes using FOAF to pre-populate social network is definitely interesting. Regarding the 1/ reversesearch, or forward search, you can now find it here [1] :). I always thought that one could grab the links out from a foaf file by visiting the foaf:Document URI, but I do see the benefit as releasing it as a "forward search" api. Ours works with either an IFP or a foaf:Person URI. I guess this makes our facility similar to that of the google SocialGraph API, but with an RDF flavour.
