Please see http://kmi.open.ac.uk/jobs/vacancy-5215.php for more details Enrico] --------------------------------- The Open University, UK Knowledge Media Institute Senior Lecturer - Knowledge Media Disciplines - 2 posts (PERMANENT APPOINTMENTS VACANCY ID: 5215) The Open University's Knowledge Media Institute has two openings for experienced persons to take on the role of Senior Lecturer in Knowledge Media Disciplines. The posts are intended to strengthen KMi's reputation as an internationally leading Research Centre, and to further raise the profile of the Open University. The posts aim in the first instance is in strengthening our research in mobile computing and semantic social software, however we will be open to strategic guidance from strong candidates as to other related areas. You will be expected to bid for and win significant research funding, produce high impact research outcomes, build comprehensive collaboration networks, manage project teams to deliver against project tasks, publish your research both individually and jointly, and supervise PhD students. You will be qualified to PhD level and have at least 5 years post-doctoral experience in computer science, cognitive science, human-computer interaction, or knowledge media, with evidence of an international reputation. It is essential that you can demonstrate a track record of leading innovative research projects, working collaboratively with other organizations, publishing widely, and obtaining substantial research income from external agencies.
