I'm coordinating a scientific publishing task force witin w3c HCLS group. We have just got a demo site up for the new web2x semtantic publishing tool, which implements the SPE ontology being developed by the task force. http://web2express.org/demo/ http://web2express.org is a real world example of using the web2x publishing tool, where I have just started to self-publish my experiments in semantic web research. web2x publishing software is an open source project on sourceforge.net, https://sourceforge.net/projects/web2x/. I would like to invite anyone who's interested in making an impact on the upcoming revolution in scientific publishing to join the open source development. I truely believe open source is the best way to develop a new semantic publishing platform for the research community. Every researcher knows what data should be published and shared with the world. The new publishhing platform should ensure they have not only the rights but also the tool to do it. Preparation for the next F2F meeting of the HCLS group has started. I think the F2F meeting will be a great opportunity to have in-depth discussion on the SPE ontology and its applications (e.g. web2x publising tool). If you are interested in coming to the F2F meeting, please let me know. I'm going to coordinate a discussion/working group for the scientific publishing task force and make sure everyone's voice will be heard. cheers, AJ -- AJ Chen, PhD http://web2express.org
