  Why is the type simply ignored if it’s explicitly specified? Shouldn’t we rather raise an error, too? An example:
  element-to-map(
  <a>2</a>
    { 'plan': { 'a': { 'layout': 'simple', 'type': 'boolean' } } }
  )
