AW: QT4CG meeting 086: Suggestion

Thanks, Dimitre, for your proposal.

At the risk of repeating myself, I’d like to reiterate my main point, which is completely non-technical: It is the hope we all achieve a more respectful und humble way to interact with each other again. Very good comments that have been made in the meeting regarding that matter. Thank you all.

I’m definitely in favor of procedural and technical suggestions that have been made along this discussion. Regarding the proposal to only include people that have looked at a proposal seriously, it could possibly be sufficient to motivate everyone to abstain from votings if s·he (well, he) does not feel competent enough. If we work with a quorum, we would probably need a solution for PRs that are not attractive enough for the majority, or too complex.

My personal preference would be to aim for majority votes. I for myself would certainly not object to a majority vote against a proposal of mine, even if it feels essential to me. I would rather go for a second run and try to present a solution that is more convincing.

My two cents,
Christian
