Re: Question about whitespace stripping in input documents

This is a bug and it has been reported by Michael Kay:

Bugzilla Bug 2682 Whitespace text nodes stripped from source document
http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=2682

Thanks.

Subject
Question about whitespace stripping in input documents

I notice that a test like Parenexpr-19
uses a document Tree1Child.xml
that contains whitespace.
However the test can work only if this whitespace is stripped.
But the document has no DTD or schema specified, so I
don't see how the WS could be stripped when parsing.
Am I missing something (a rule that specifies WS Stripping)?

Cheers
