clarify unconnected output ports

under 2.2 Inputs and Outputs we have a sentence on unconnected output ports;

'Unconnected output ports are allowed; any documents produced on those
ports are simply discarded.'

This gives the impression that they are gone for good, perhaps we
provide a reference to p:journal here?
