Agenda for XML Core WG telcon of 2008 July 2

We have an XML Core WG phone call scheduled for Wednesday, 
July 2, from

          11:00-12:00 Eastern time aka
          15:00-16:00 UTC
          16:00-17:00 in Ireland and the UK   
          17:00-18:00 in middle (most of) Europe

and other information.  If you have additions to the agenda, please
email them to the WG list before the start of the telcon.

Please also review our group page's task list [2] for accuracy and
completeness and be prepared to amend if necessary and accept it
at the beginning of the call.

October Technical Plenary

The next Technical Plenary is scheduled for October in Cannes:

XML Core meets Monday and Tuesday.

Registration for the October TPAC2008: Combined Technical 
Plenary and Advisory Committee Meeting is now open at

Registration will close on 28 September, but the discount 
rate for hotel rooms will expire as of 8 September 2008.

4.  XML 1.0

The PER period ended 16 May 2008. 

We need to have at least three implementations that 
pass the test suite for each of the errata that have 
been newly applied to the 5th Edition.

ACTION to Richard, Henry:  Add a test to the XML 1.0 5th Ed 
Test Suite about version=1.7 documents.

XML 1.0 5th Edition.

ACTION to Glenn:  Check with Apache folks on status of

ACTION to Norm:  Check with Sun if the JAXP TCK includes 
tests which fail if you implement the 5th Ed and if so 
whether we can get a blanket exclusion from Sun for those 
tests.

ACTION to Henry:  Compare the XSD for XLink at 
http://schemas.opengis.net/xlink/1.0.0/xlinks.xsd
with that in the XLink spec.

Once we handle the XSD issues, we should be ready for
the next step.

Paul asks us to consider skipping CR and going directly
to PR.

ACTION to Henry:  Review the history and make a recommendation
as to whether we should skip CR and go directly to PR.
