I believe that the following are the changes needed to Namespaces 1.1 (http://www.w3.org/TR/xml-names11/): In the definition of XML namespace at the start of section 2.1, change the "IRI reference" link to point to the (new) reference to RC3987 instead of to section 9. Delete section 9 (IRIs) completely. Add a normative reference to the IRI spec, RFC3987. Delete the non-normative references to drafts of RFC3987. Delete the normative reference to the old URI spec, RFC2396 (which was not in fact referred to!). Delete the normative reference to the UTF8 spec, RFC3629, which was only referred to in the to-be-deleted section 9. -- Richard
