Provenance XG Telecon this Friday

All:

We will have our first telecon this Friday October 30th.
****IMPORTANT****: Because the daylight savings time is in effect in
Europe last week and in the US this week, please check the time in
your time zone in the link provided below.

The agenda and call instructions are attached below, as well as some
background on how the meeting will be run using IRC for those of you
new to W3C.

For those that cannot make this week's call and for those that are
still in the process of joining the group, we will have rounds of
short introductions in the agenda in the next couple of weeks as
well. A pointer to meeting minutes will be posted to the mailing list
shortly after the telecon.

Looking forward to talking on Friday!

Yolanda

A BRIEF INTRODUCTION TO INTERNET RELAY CHAT (IRC)

For those of you new to W3C, meetings are run using IRC to manage
turns to speak during the calls as well as note taking in a way that
is coordinated with the Zakim Bridge. A simple way to participate is
to go to:

	http://www.w3.org/2001/01/cgi-irc

and provide the following information:

Nick: <a nickname that will identify you in the channel>
	Realname: <your real name>
	Channel: prov-xg

Once you are there you can ask for a turn to speak by typing:

	q+

This places you in the queue and you will be given a turn to speak
accordingly.

You will also be able to see the meeting notes as they are typed by
the scribe.
