US clocks moving to Summer Time this Sunday, 11 March

Semi-annual reminder of the start of Daylight Savings Time -- aka
Summer Time -- coming this week end [1].

Europe and the US will be two weeks apart in moving the clocks for
Summer Time. The US moves this coming Sunday while Europe moves in two
weeks on Sunday, 25 March.

Zakim teleconference times are all based on the US clocks. Therefore,
unless groups have sent specific requests to change your teleconference
times next week, Europeans will need to join teleconferences 1 hour
earlier *next week and the week after*.

After 25 March [unchanged] teleconferences will be back on the same
relative local time for Europe.

The teleconference calendar [2] is the authoritative source for the
Zakim schedule (this page is generated from the same database that
nightly downloads into the hardware). The note at the top of the page
shows the default UTC time offset.

You will see that currently the calendar shows explicit UTC times for
teleconferences after 25 March as those are different from the default
(-5 hour offset) for telecons prior to 25 March.
