Dear all,
I am very sorry that I again have to send my regrets for a
telcon. However, I would kindly like to report what has
happend so far. I will meet Raphael next week and make
sure that I ask him about the current state and update on
the XG.
1) WWW Proposal
------------------------
We have been accepted with a panel
at the WWW 2007. We are currently finalizing the dates
with the organizers. The panel will be a good platform
for us to present the XG and discuss with the panelists
and the audience "The role of multimedia metadata standards
in a (Semantic) Web 3.0" on behalf of the Multimedia Semantics
Incubator Group of the W3C.
2) ACTION: Susanne to look again in the various systems and
standards and
identify 3-4 standards that together could be the solution [recorded in
http://www.w3.org/2006/12/08-mmsem-minutes.html#action06]

I am working on this and will giving interactive talks in this
field for two audiences in the next two/three weeks.
a) we have a large internal workshop with our project partner
next week
which are highly interested in this field and we will see
how they see the interoperability problem.
b) Talk at the Workshop Multimedia Semantics (for which I also
sent a call on the mailing list some time ago)

3) ACTION: Erik to start a discussion on Photo UC on public list

4) Vocab page
--------
I added a little bit to the EXIF Vocabulary page and changed
it a little. Hopefully the previous author is happy with it. I also
added something to PhotoRDF.
