Antw: Re: Missing topic in Topics list

Hi,

I believe that this is an extremely important point at the moment. We
still have to convince many library directors of the importance of
publishing library data as linked open data. To do so, we have to show
them the benefits, and not only the benefits in general but the benefits
for them and their institutions. So we try to answer the question by
showing them what could be done with linked data and the answer is
divided into two parts: what can libraries do with linked data? and what
can others do with library linked data? When I read through the use
cases, I found many good answers. It is a good idea to to extract these
answers more and would like to help in this regard.

Kind regards

Anette

Hi Karen, all,

Going through all use cases, I feel that we've missed an important
topic : USE of Library linked data.
We now have computational use, thanks to an addition by Felix. But
several other use cases are about consuming and using library data.
And that's important, because that's exactly what we're missing today,
sound examples of data usage.
Would you mind if I change "COMPU. Computational use of library data"
into "USE. Consuming and using library data", and make "computational
use of library data" just a sub item (USE. COMPUTATIONAL) ?

Just my two cents , I think that this is a good change.

Felix

Or shall
we wait until after the F2F to do it ?
