Introduction: Sebastian Tramp (AKSW, University of Leipzig)

Hi everybody,

I'm Sebastian Tramp [1] from the AKSW research group Leipzig / Germany.

I want to work in this group because I hope that we can bring all these
existing pieces together and enable people to work and socialize in a
distributed way without walls.

Our current approach for an architecture of a Distributed Semantic
Social Network (DSSN) is available at [2]. As part of my research, I've
contributed to the following DSSN pieces:

- Semantic Pingback [3]: an extension of the well-known Pingback method,
a technological cornerstone of the blogosphere, thus supporting the
interlinking within the Data Web.

- MSSW Client [4]: an Android-based social web client as well as a
contacts provider, which integrates your distributed FOAF/WebID social
network into your mobile phone.

- xOperator [5]: a semantic agent for the xmpp / jabber network which
finds and shares content about resources (using RDF/SPARQL) for you and
your jabber friends.

- OntoWiki [6]: a Semantic Data Wiki which can be used as a DSSN node
for your WebID (linked data as well as pingback enabled) and is used by
the MSSW client too.

best regards

Sebastian Tramp
