Introduction: Jeff Sayre

My name is Jeff Sayre. I describe myself as a smartup entrepreneur and
Social Web architect who advocates for the Open Web. I frequently write
about issues of identity, privacy, the Semantic Web, and the Social Web. I
also serve as an invited expert to the W3C’s WebID Incubator Group (
http://www.w3.org/2005/Incubator/webid/ ).

Some of my articles relative to this area are as follows:

I was an early developer for the BuddyPress project (
http://buddypress.org/ ), the plugin suite that brings social networking
features to WordPress. I created what is currently the only available
full-featured privacy component for BuddyPress. I have also been pushing
the project to reengineer, offering distributed, federated services.

My latest smartup is PubPie ( http://pubpie.com/ ).
