Just a FYI -

The ISO TC 211 (geomatics) meetings are in Molde Norway May 24-29th.

Also, there was an excellent conference on early warning and alerting 
systems in Prague in March. Conference proceedings are available. Lot's of 
really interesting and progressive work.
