fyi I am seeking permission to circulate the 15 glossaries that I just receive from dr alexander to the list/wiki, if anyone wants a private copy I can forward off list mapping these glossaries to a single schema would be an important exercise, if anyone is up to look for funding /sponsoring of this project that's where it should be going is there any Red Cross glossary in the public domain for referencing as well? did Gavin or someone else start a library of glossaries anywhere on another wiki? (I seem to be having a dejavu) I ll paste and cross link on the wiki whatever comes up PDM ALSO www.doh.wa.gov/phepr/phepr*glossary*.htm DOC] *Glossary of Emergency Management Terms*<http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&ct=res&cd=2&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.oes.ca.gov%2FOperational%2FOESHome.nsf%2FPDF%2FGlossary%2520of%2520Emergency%2520Management%2520Terms%2F%24file%2FGlossary%2520of%2520Emergency%2520Management%2520Terms.doc&ei=Y8EmSeetJ6H4swLB26i5BQ&usg=AFQjCNHfIg8gy7FziIfFBvl6oY_blSkSkg&sig2=HbbxDfJLyqTaktlomN1pCA>File Format: Microsoft Word - View as HTML<http://72.14.235.132/search?q=cache:yFmFmMTtRl4J:www.oes.ca.gov/Operational/OESHome.nsf/PDF/Glossary%2520of%2520Emergency%2520Management%2520Terms/%24file/Glossary%2520of%2520Emergency%2520Management%2520Terms.doc+RED+CROSS+GLOSSARY+of+emergency+management+terms&hl=en&ct=clnk&cd=2> This is not a comprehensive list of *emergency management terms* and *...... * in which established *emergency* organizations (such as the American *Red Cross* or *...* www.oes.ca.gov/.../*Glossary*%20of%20*Emergency*%20*Management*%20... - ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: David Alexander <david.alexander@unifi.it> Date: Fri, Nov 21, 2008 at 8:53 PM Subject: Re: em glossary To: paola.dimaio@gmail.com Dear Paola, I hope the attached file is not too large for your email arrangements. It contains fifteen glossaries. In a European Commission funded international project we are creating a sixteenth, but only in order to have agreed working definitions for the project. I could help out in a very limited way (I am very severely stretched with different projects at the moment). Please let me know if you would like to collaborate with our project in either the tasks above best PDM ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Gary Berg-Cross <gbergcross@gmail.com> Date: Fri, Nov 21, 2008 at 5:35 AM Subject: A place to look at some glossary items - one Action Item from today's conference call today To: Chamindra de Silva <chamindra@opensource.lk> Cc: public-xg-eiif <public-xg-eiif@w3.org> Paola, You might look at 2 place to see if any of their glossary helps you with your effort: http://www.varaces.org/sogfiles/SOG_16.pdf http://www.abag.ca.gov/bayarea/eqmaps/eqfloods/fglossry.html Gary Berg-Cross.
