As discussed, I have put together a proposal for collecting feedback from
potential future end-users. You can read and edit the proposal on the wiki
with the following link:

The feedback collected should not serve as an absolute rule by which to
steer group activities, but should act as complementary resource to the
technical expertise of the group as a whole.

Collecting data may provide useful insights that the group may otherwise
miss, and should help us to represent a broader group of end-user-needs with
less guess-work. The usefulness of this endeavor, would of course depend on
the commitment of the group, to collect a significant quality/quantity of
data to represent the communities within their reach.

I would be interested to hear your thoughts/comments and welcome any
constructive criticism/amendments to the proposal.
