Why is it gone? Thanks for the question Michael. We have spent a few weeks discussing this again. The problem (for us) is that there is a transform() function in XPath 3.1, which we would love to use but can't because we are based on XPath 2. We struggled to create a version that would be compatible with the XPath 3.1 version. and failed, and finally decided it would be in everyone's best interests if we didn't delay XForms 2, and therenore not do a transform in this version, and just the use XPath 3.1 in XForms 3.
