Tyler, you had asked about the requirements for hosting Working Group Meetings. Some material on the web: http://www.w3.org/Guide/hosting.htm http://www.w3.org/2006/03/hostnetworkrequirements.html The key requirements are as follows: - Meeting room with projection equipment and a speakerphone that enables people on the phone to follow conversations in the room (as opposed to enabling to just hear somebody who gives a presentation). A long cable to the projection equipment tunrs out to be very useful. - Internet access (wireless) for everybody; preferably transparent; IRC, Web, ssh are indispensable. - Enough power outlets! - Seating: U-shape preferred for WG meetings. - Breakfasts and lunches are usually provided by the host; in some cases, some other member of the group might end up sponsoring these. - No NDAs! "W3C meetings focus exclusively on the business of W3C's work programs. As such, W3C meetings are governed by W3C policies, procedures, and process. Therefore, W3C workshops, Technical Plenaries, Group meetings and other W3C-sanctioned events shall not be conducted on the premises of organizations that request W3C meeting participants to sign non-disclosure agreements in order to gain access to the host's facilities. Any proposal to host a W3C meeting shall be accompanied by information regarding the facility, meeting participation, and other conditions associated with meeting hosting and participation. The Team shall determine, after discussion with the meeting Chair and prospective host, whether the offer can be accepted by W3C." -- http://www.w3.org/2004/06/NoNDAPolicy.html Cheers, -- Thomas Roessler, W3C <tlr@w3.org>
