In the middle of switching laptops I discovered that I had a draft in my old one. Oops! So, here's my very late introduction: I have been active in both computer security and open source software as a hobby for 15+ years now. My most recent contributions have been to the KDE project. I have been a core developer on the project for nearly 7 years, contributing to many areas but perhaps most significantly to the security team, the web browser (Konqueror) and the IO subsystem. I'm actively participating in web browser development at this point on a hobby level (KDE, WebKit OpenSource project), and through my consulting firm. I am a strong supporter of OpenSource, but it's safe to say that I'm far more interested in technology than the means to that technology. I am also somewhat involved in standards bodies, and was particularly active providing feedback toward the ISO Linux standard.
