Hello, I'm Hal Lockhart. I do security standards for BEA. Most of the work I have been involved in over the last five years has been at OASIS, some at WS-I. Currently I am co-chair of the XACML TC and the Security Services (SAML) TC and the OASIS Technical Advisory Board. I think my background is a little unusual compared to most standards people as not only have I worked in software engineering, architecture and management, but I have also spent significant time in operations, consulting, marketing and even sales. I like to think it gives me a more practical view of the use of technology in the real world. On the other hand, I know relatively little about HCI and UI theory. (But of course like everybody else I have strong opinions.) I see a lot of people on the list I have previously met (and argued with.) I look forward to arguing with the rest of you. ;) Hal
