Hiya, I've been doing security stuff for a long while now, including chairing the w3c xkms wg and a couple of ietf things and I've inflicted words on various other security standards. Generally these days, I'm more interested in odd networks, but since I may have to re-join the real world sometime (i.e. leave academia) I also keep up with security goings-on. If you care here're details [1]. In terms of this activity, I think that it'll be interesting if some improvements can be made and I suspect that they can if we can figure a way to allows users to "deposit" their chosen state on servers or some equivalent. But I make no claims to expertise in terms of user interaction so maybe I'm wrong. I also think that w3c needs to do a periodic general security review of all of its more important activities since I suspect that things like forms languages etc. all probably contain unrecognised vulnerabilities. But its ok that that's not immediately on the agenda of this group. I won't be in NY for the 1st meeting, but I will take part via whatever remote scheme is available. Regards, Stephen.
