Sometimes it is the case that the user has a relationship due
exclusively to the domain name and has no clue about the company
behind it. I think of ebay.com as a prime example. I know of IBM as
the Fortune 500 company that made typewriters, then computers, then
software, then consulting. I know of ebay as the domain name where I
go to list my product for sale. I don't know of Electronic Bay
Holdings Incorporated (yes I made that up) or whatever their official
legal name is. I don't think the picture is entirely clear.
