RE: Third Editors' Drafts of WS-Policy Framework and Attachment Specifications for Approval as Public WDs

Editorial comments on Web Services Policy Attachment [2] specification:

1. Section 2.4 Example

"Per Section 3.2 Policy Identification<http://dev.w3.org/cvsweb/~checkout~/2006/ws/policy/ws-policy-framework.html?content-type=text/html;charset=utf-8/#Policy_Identification> of Web Services Policy 1.5 - Framework [Web Services Policy Framework<http://dev.w3.org/cvsweb/~checkout~/2006/ws/policy/ws-policy-attachment.html?rev=1.53#WS-Policy>], the URIs used for these policy expressions<http://dev.w3.org/cvsweb/~checkout~/2006/ws/policy/ws-policy-attachment.html?rev=1.53#policy_expression> in the remainder of this document are http://www.example.com/policies#RmPolicy and http://www.example.com/policies#X509EndpointPolicy, for the examples in Example 2-1<http://dev.w3.org/cvsweb/~checkout~/2006/ws/policy/ws-policy-attachment.html?rev=1.53#Table2> and Example 2-2<http://dev.w3.org/cvsweb/~checkout~/2006/ws/policy/ws-policy-attachment.html?rev=1.53#Table3>, respectively."

Change "URIs' to "IRIs' since the Framework now uses IRIs.

2. 3.4 External Policy Attachment

"This mechanism allows policies<http://dev.w3.org/cvsweb/~checkout~/2006/ws/policy/ws-policy-attachment.html?rev=1.53#policy> to be associated with a policy subject<http://dev.w3.org/cvsweb/~checkout~/2006/ws/policy/ws-policy-attachment.html?rev=1.53#policy_subject> independent of that subject's definition and/or representation through the use of a wsp:PolicyAttachment gelement."

Change "gelement" to "element".
3. C. Acknowledgements (Non-Normative)

Just before publication I think we should update the list of WG participants especially since we had new WG members join since the last publication

Subject: Third Editors' Drafts of WS-Policy Framework and Attachment Speci fications for Approval as Public WDs

Hi,

The WS-Policy editorial team is pleased to deliver the 3rd editors' drafts of the

Web Services Policy Framework [1] and Attachment [2] specifications,

for approval as Public WDs by the Working Group.

Detailed change logs are in the last section of these documents.

The third editors' drafts include most of the changes resulting from the Bellevue

F2F and subsequent conference calls (until 10/11/06). Only one Action Item from F2F

32<http://www.w3.org/2005/06/tracker/wspolicyeds/actions/32> (Hyperlink terms such as policy expression, policy alternative, etc.) is not reflected in this draft.

Pointers [3] and [4] are diff documents from the last WDs (Working-Draft-27-Sept-2006 http://www.w3.org/2002/ws/policy/#Drafts).
