F2F preparation
yingying: quick update on the f2f preparation
... visited the hotel today
... local router is not allowed
... can use 200 addresses
dsr: we should let the group know about that
yingying: Michael's proposal wouldn't work if a local router is
not allowed
... wifi available
... there is some problem within the meeting room
... will visit them on Monday again
... not sure about the connection speed
... the network is not dedicated to us
dsr: speed should not be so critical
yingying: they can give us static IP addresses
dsr: can we put the info on the wiki beforehand?
... block of the addresses
kaz: +1
yingying: need to get agreement from the hotel
... what the concrete block of the addresses would be
dsr: who would take responsibility from Siemens?
yingying: Daniel Peintner
... I had a problem with my pc at the meeting room
... got time out
dsr: maybe you should describe the detail of the problem and
send it to Daniel
kaz: would suggest you send the logistics information to the
member list with the subject of "[f2f]"
yingying: ok
... got a message from CETC
... they'll hire interpreters
... if the presenters are Chinese, Chinese language will be
translated to English
... and English to Chinese
kaz: for the Open Day?
yingying: yes
... also added a list of registrants to the wiki
kaz: on the public wiki or member one?
yingying: the public wiki based on PH's request

https://www.w3.org/WoT/IG/wiki/F2F_meeting,_July_2016,_China,_Beijing
yingying: also sent a message to the public list and asked to
provide one pager on their work
... I'll arrange a call with CETC on 21 June 10am Europe, 4pm
China, 5pm Japan
kaz: suggest you send an announcement to the group list so that
people can join it
yingying: potential issue that we might be going to need to
change the room
... PlugFest preparation at a small meeting
... trying to do our best to get rooms
kaz: if we can clarify the room assignment for each day, people
wouldn't complain
... using another room for PlugFest prep would be ok
yingying: for the f2f prep, that's it
kaz: invitation letters for visa?
yingying: have sent 7 letters out
... no problem
... sent a letter to Dave as well
dsr: I now have my visa
yingying: when are you arriving?
dsr: landing Friday morning, 8:30am
yingying: ok
dsr: anybody have problem with visa?
yingying: didn't get any problems
kaz: Joerg, Johannes, etc., have got their invitation letters?
yingying: checking with Xueyuan
... if not, will send a reminder
kaz: you should CC Johannes
yingying: ok
... anything else?
(nothing)
dsr: would like to talk about another topic
IoT Tech Expo
dsr: attended the event
... joined a panel
... would be good if people can blog it
... maybe you both also could think about the opportunity

AC Review for the Charter
dsr: when the Charter are on AC Review, we need to encourage
people to support it
kaz: sent a proposal on that
dsr: can you work for the JP Members?
kaz: yes
dsr: there is a mailinglist
kaz: also we can directly check the WBS result page
... we should work hard for the WG Charter
dsr: some of the Members work for their commercial deployment
kaz: right
... let's list the target ACs and work together
dsr: ok
... we can get the list of companies
... I'll list European/American companies
... can generate a whitepaper as well
... and share on the wot comm list to get comments
yingying: the list for the WG charter?
dsr: whitepaper is general description on the WoT activity
... the list of ACs are for the WG charter
Messaging
yingying: the deadline of "messaging" has passed...
... related to the sales sheet
dsr: asked for comments
... Daniel was going to look into the possibility of Siemens's
support
... hasn't confirmed yet
yingying: fund a designer?
dsr: think so
kaz: let's check with Daniel during the next meeting
dsr: we can see possible media: sales sheet, whitepaper,
slides, blog posts
yingying: let's check with Daniel
Opensource project
yingying: let's check with Daniel about that too
Feedback to the other SDO's liaison letter
yingying: let's talk about that as well with the others
dsr: yes
... need the Chair to drive that
yingying: that's all for today
... should I tell Michael about the router configuration?
dsr: as Kaz suggested, you should summarize the logistics
information and send it to the member list
yingying: ok
Next meeting
yingying: when should the next meeting will be held?
dsr: when the others will come back?
yingying: Daniel will be back next week
... is this slot ok by you?
