This is in response to the search for prior art for a patent that seems 
centered on auto updating software.

There is a game called "The Realm Online" that was launched in March 1995 
in Beta form and had a Windows client that could automatically download 
updates from a website. It would download a RTPatch update and then 
automatically apply it. Then the game would restart with the updates 
applied.
