I filed https://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=26533 on investigating whether we can reuse the Request object (which is passed to fetch(), and used in service workers to expose requests from a window or worker). There are some complications given what can be set through HTML and what could be set through script and how to keep those best synchronized. We should be able to figure something out I think.
