"Only a handful of sites" maybe true in percentage terms relative to the number of websites that support credit card numbers, but it certainly isn't true in absolute terms. My bank account and routing numbers are in a huge variety of sites, for example all my utilities, credit cards, Paypal and other payment systems, Amazon, my employer's payroll site, etc. PK
