Everything WebView at TPAC next week!

Hello everyone,

as always events seem far away until they are suddenly here. TPAC
<https://www.w3.org/2025/11/TPAC/Overview.html> kicks of next week and
I'd like to share the most important sessions for everyone interested in
WebViews.

Breakouts

The breakout sessions will be open to anyone with a W3C account
<https://www.w3.org/account/> to join remotely, free of charge, without
a TPAC registration. So feel invited to join the discussions remotely if
your are not at TPAC.

On Tuesday Bryan Ellis and I will host the session WebView quirks and
testing <https://www.w3.org/events/meetings/344a5851-3cea-4905-b920-
996ee476bb10/> to tell stories about weird bugs and behaviors in
WebViews and talk about testing in WebViews.

On Wednesday Martin Alvarez-Espinar will host Modular Web Engines
<https://www.w3.org/events/meetings/9363fa89-64f3-447c-80a7-
c04409d60377/>
with my assistance. We want to talk about WebViews beyond traditional
web apps and commonly used web engines today.

Make sure to subscribe to these sessions in the W3C calendar to get them
in your timezone and not miss them. It also helps us to see how many
people will join us.

Community Group Meetings

The WebView CG meeting <https://www.w3.org/events/meetings/90e10d1d-
3598-4ede-ad71-a0d057fef9cb/> will take place on Friday. I haven't set
the final agenda yet, so please let me know what to add. Baseline will
likely be the biggest topic as we did some interesting analysis on web
features if you include WebView BCD data. I'd also like to talk about
the site caniwebview itself and possibly testing but please send your
ideas.

The WebDX CG <https://www.w3.org/events/meetings/74ea288a-df57-4a3f-
a32a-dd57e9413430/> and High-Performance Baseline for Web Apps CG
<https://www.w3.org/events/meetings/1cc98354-9c2c-49a1-94f0-
927af1e72603/> are also meeting on Friday and there might be some good
overlap with WebViews.

That's my summary for WebViews at TPAC. Please share and I'm looking
forward to seeing many of you at TPAC or in the virtual sessions.

Kind regards
Niklas
