Project Plan Introduction

Our redesigned solution for the W3C Website includes a total of six parts, namely site requirements analysis and design consulting, site user interaction and visual design, site accessibility design, site research and development framework construction and function development, site testing and deployment research and development, Site delivery and maintenance consulting.

Website requirements analysis and design consulting

Before the site reorganization is officially carried out, the team will conduct detailed interviews, research and consultation with the W3C Team for the functional requirements of the site, and work with the W3C Team to produce a complete site requirements analysis report and functional design document. After that, the team designer will conduct user experience consultation and research with the W3C Team, and produce corresponding user experience research reports, user models, and experience roadmaps according to the W3C Team's experience requirements. At this point, we will work with the W3C Team to complete multiple preparations before the site is officially designed and developed.

Website accessibility design

Accessibility design is a part that we think is more important during the design phase of this project. The W3C has always had high requirements for accessibility. Therefore, the team will focus on the site's accessibility, Barrier browsing, barrier-free interaction for design and review, and production of barrier-free design specifications and development specifications, which facilitates the upgrade development of site projects after delivery can also achieve barrier-free use.

Website user interaction and visual design

After completing the site's functional requirements analysis, user experience research, and accessibility design, the designer team will perform site user interaction design and visual design. In user interaction design, the main work is to complete the design of the interaction framework and the design of the site multi-device adaptation scheme. In addition, visual design is also one of the key tasks in this section. Visual design work includes visual style design and review, home page design, various functional page design, etc. It also produces unified design specifications for subsequent new page design.

Website framework construction and function develop

While performing site visual and interaction design, the team's R & D engineers will design and build the web front-end and web server-side R & D framework in parallel, including but not limited to: development scaffolding, continuous integration framework, testing and release framework Construction, web front-end component framework construction, web server framework construction, database design. After the designer team completes part of the interaction and visual design, the R & D engineer will start the site function R & D. After this part is completed, you can see the entire new W3C official website that has not been deployed online.

Website testing and deployment

Before the site is released for deployment, the team will perform the overall test of the site. The test includes but is not limited to: basic module unit test, web front-end compatibility test, and overall site integration test. After the test work is completed, the site can reach the release online status. The team will build a site publishing and deployment plan for the W3C Website in this section, which will facilitate continuous publishing and deployment during subsequent site functional upgrades.

Website delivery and maintenance consulting

After completing the above five parts, the team will conduct overall project delivery with the W3C. The project delivery content includes but is not limited to: site manual, site design guide, site development and maintenance guide, original design of each module, source code of each module, etc. At the same time, we will also provide continuous site maintenance and consulting work until the agreed period.

Project implementation details

We planned the overall implementation details for the W3C Website reconstruction project, as shown in the additional documents.
