Fwd: (Fwd) WebRTC: Real-Time Communication in Browsers W3C Recommendation Revised

Hi,

As discussed and agreed by the group last September [1], and after a bit
more time and process than I had initially expected, the WebRTC
Recommendation has been updated to incorporate the proposed amendments
that we had identified as having received enough review and
implementation experience.

For editors of the spec, a practical consequence is that our list of
amendments will shrink significantly. I have started a draft PR to that
end that still needs a bit of work

Dear Advisory Committee Representative,
[This announcement will be forwarded to W3C group chairs]

It is my pleasure to announce that the following W3C Recommendation has
been updated:

     WebRTC: Real-Time Communication in Browsers
https://www.w3.org/TR/2025/REC-webrtc-20250313/

The WebRTC API allows media and generic application data to be sent to
and received from another browser or device implementing the appropriate
set of real-time protocols.

All Members who responded to the Last Call for Review of Proposed
Amendments to the Recommendation [1] supported the publication of the
document with the proposed corrections and additions as a W3C
Recommendation, with several reviewers indicating that they produce or
expect to produce products that use this specification.

Please join us in congratulating the W3C WebRTC Working Group [2] on
this achievement.

This announcement follows section 5.7.2 of the W3C Process Document:

Thank you,

For Philippe le Hégaret, W3C Strategy and Project Lead,
Dominique Hazael-Massieux and Carine Bournez, WebRTC WG Team Contacts;
Xueyuan Jia, W3C Marketing & Communications
