Re: Call for Consensus (CfC) on Issue 17 of "Region Capture"

CropTarget production should be asynchronous.

We have an asynchronous implementation of CropTarget, but no running code to demonstrate synchronous CropTarget production.

Having authored several synchronous APIs that subsequently were found to have asynchronous failure modes, I no longer feel confident in predicting that a synchronous API cannot fail for asynchronous reasons - implementation experience is required.
