VC applications could use this knowledge to pause remote-sharing and prompt the user to confirm they'd still like to share. This is a partial solution that could be delivered in 2021. You have presented two counter-proposals, getViewportMedia-based-Web (you estimated 2023) and this proposal (I am guessing >=2022 at the earliest). Out of concern for users' well-being, I think we should proceed with [Capture Handle](#166) as quickly as possible.
