@youennf I expect 2 will provide, in practice, result in little marginal improvement against fingerprinting and similar tracking techniques; knowing the categories of media hardware capabilities for a device will be itself be very identifying for a large number of devices.

If the WG feels 2 is needed, what are the WG's plans to prevent against fingerprinting attacks and other similar tracking concerns?
