To be clear, there's no doubt the "tomorrow" version is superior. It was pointed out to me that the "today" version can suffer id collisions when receiving streams from multiple peers. [This fiddle](https://jsfiddle.net/jib1/L2auhsh5/) shows Firefox creating two streams with the same id in this case; not ok, a bug.
