Sorry for the really late response, but I believe there is no reason to add these properties (other than to redirect to the standards oriented version of them) - they do not seem to be supported anywhere and are not part of any current or emerging standards. Like you wrote, only text-underline-position is relevant, but not the rest. http://www.w3.org/TR/css-text-decor-3/ ☆*PhistucK* On Tue, Jun 18, 2013 at 11:21 PM, Julee Burdekin <jburdeki@adobe.com> wrote: > Hi, PhistucK & WooCaSh & all! > > I'm trying to assign WooCaSh the longhand properties for text-underline on > the WPW page.[1] > > The most recent spec I see that defines the longhand properties is the > 2003 W3C CR spec.[2] > > "The 'text-underline' property is the shorthand for 'text-underline-style'<http://www.w3.org/TR/2003/CR-css3-text-20030514/#text-underline-style> > , 'text-underline-width'<http://www.w3.org/TR/2003/CR-css3-text-20030514/#text-underline-width> > , 'text-underline-color'<http://www.w3.org/TR/2003/CR-css3-text-20030514/#text-underline-color> > , 'text-underline-mode'<http://www.w3.org/TR/2003/CR-css3-text-20030514/#text-underline-mode> > and 'text-underline-position'<http://www.w3.org/TR/2003/CR-css3-text-20030514/#text-underline-position>." > Interestingly, text-underline-width is listed as one of the longhand > values, but not listed in the value field of the following table.
